Arabella is an award winning Venice based architect and designer.

Her work focuses on the synergy between art, architecture and complex geometry. This contributes to her experience in practising across different disciplines and scales especially in retail design.

 Her work for fashion companies have earned her experience in all stages of design, on a wide variety of prestigious projects around the world that range from objects and installations, to stores and corner, pop up store, outlet and visual display for shop window.

For Industries s.p.a., she had the opportunity to develop project for its brands: Moncler, Henry Cotton's, Marina Yachting, 18CRR81, MCS.  After this experience she's been temporary consultant for the brand AW Lab among others.

 She studied architecture at University of Venice, where is now collaborating as teaching assistant in interior design.

Always keen to learn and improve facing new challenges.

 

 

Education: 
2003 
University degree at IUAV, University of Architecture of Venice, with the thesis titled ‘Fractal labirinths. Algorithmic landscape for the Cavallino’s coast’. Supervisor Arch. Roberta Albiero. 
This thesis experimentally presents a design method based on mathematics and fractal geometry as a tool able to analize the site and design the urban spaces and the architectures. A method able to understand urban phenomena and the morphology of the places through mathematical models and recursive geometry. This studies has developed over time through competitions and has been presented in some lectures at IUAV(2006-2008).

2010
First Prize at the Contest for young Critics III edition, organized by presS / Tfactory, the Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism and the website Professione Architetto, with the essay ‘Fractal logic’. The award ceremony took place as a side event at the 12th Architecture Biennale in Venice the day 27/8/2010.
 
Publication in the journal of architecture L’Arca n°264 of an article regarding the greek/american study of architecture Ahylo.
 
2008
Restoration of a small palace in Venice for a private client.

Lecture at IUAV (University of Architecture of Venice) regarding the relationship between Venice and fractals, the workshop titled 'The Other Venice or Venice upside down' by Prof. Arch João Luís Carrilho da Graça and Prof. Arch Roberta Albiero.

‘Fractal Labirinth.0’, video and fractal music selected for the Contest Under Forty and presented at UIA, World Congress Of Architects in Turin in July 2008.

First prize in the contest “La cittadella della logistica” ("The city of logistics") organized by Interporto Padova S.p.A. and Student Senate of IUAV, with the project "Seriality vs Arhythmia" for the color and exterior decoration of the buildings of the intermodal and logistics centre, built and opened in 2001. The project it has been realized.
